Shameem Gulbahar company for General Trading was established as a formally registered company with the Companies Registration Directorate in Baghdad. The company is also an active member of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Iraqi Importers and Exporters Union.

Our specialization is in bringing high-quality food products from international markets, with Indian Basmati rice being our flagship product. We are committed to sourcing the finest varieties from the most renowned rice-growing regions in India. We also own leading brands in the Iraqi market such as Gulbahar, Kobani, Gulpasand, and Gulmanzil, which have become synonymous with trust and quality.

In addition to rice, we also import a wide range of food items such as tea and legumes. We are proud that Shameem Gulbahar Company serves as the exclusive agent in Iraq for the Indonesian company Mayora, one of the country’s leading producers of instant coffee and biscuits.

Over the years, we have successfully built strong relationships with companies in India, China, and Indonesia, along with strategic partnerships with a number of local companies in Iraq. Our products are distributed through an extensive network of specialists covering all Iraqi provinces—from Zakho in the north to Basra in the south—reaching hypermarkets, retail stores, and grocery shops.
